You may be yearning for more hotter runs as you become better at escaping out of torment in Hades. A large part of the Pact of Punishment entails persistent debuffs to all encounters. There is one Heat Gauge rise, though, that is… less apparent. The Extreme Measures pact option raises the difficulty of bosses depending on the number of points you put into it. Each point increases the difficulty of the next monster, beginning with the Fury Sisters, then the Hydra, then the King, and finally the Minotaur. Finally, you may battle Hades’ Extreme Measures combat with an upgrade from Work Orders dubbed “Extremer Measures.” These battles add a significant amount of difficulty to normal Hades gameplay, and they may be aggravating to cope with. They are, however, very gratifying once you are able to begin tearing them down!
Bosses in Hades: How to Fight All Extreme Measures
When you use Extreme Measures and defeat these bosses, you receive a lot of rewards. The Heat Gauge in Extreme Measures increases exponentially in proportion to the number of monsters you defeat: 1 for the Fury Sisters, 3 for the Hydra, 6 for the King and Minotaur, and 10 for Hades. As a result, EM is one of the greatest choices for gamers seeking to increase their Heat Gauge! Especially because the only time the challenge rises is during the boss levels.
Fury at Extreme Measures
In the battle against the Fury Sisters, you’ll notice a significant difference. That is, the Fury Sisters have taken over. You’ll have to battle two to three of them at once. Don’t worry; all you have to do now is beat the lead sister in battle.
The Furies will all be somewhat quicker, particularly in the latter stages of the battle. Furthermore, each sister that enters the battle will assault Zagreus at the same moment, adding to the combat’s complexity.
You’ll have to battle by responses if Meg is the main sister. Meg has the option of staying back and slinging missiles, or she may make a fast rush towards Zagreus. Her Area of Effect strikes grow considerably quicker on Extreme Measures. Hopefully, you’ll be able to avoid her Area of Effects! There will always be a safe place near Zagreus, and she will spawn the explosions there.
If Meg is a supportive sister, she’ll create a pillar that shoots projectiles and generate her Area of Effects near Zagreus. If Meg is the backup, it’s best to be on the go all the time! She has a hard time striking a Zagreus who continually dodges.
Alecto doesn’t alter much as the lead. She is quicker and has a greater capacity for anger. Despite this, you may avoid receiving too much damage by maintaining your distance and dodging her floating Whip Shots. After she strikes, you may safely attack her in melee. But be cautious when she stands motionless to Build Rage. It’s possible that you’ll consume some projectiles!
Under Zag, Alecto may summon her bouncing blade or conjure repeated area of effects if she is a supportive sister. While both of these powers are deadly, the bouncing blade may be dodged and subsequently ignored; the primary Fury is much more lethal! You’ll be OK if you just keep moving to escape her Circles.
Tisiphone, as the leader, may be aggravating since her arena will continue to shrink while the other sisters pound you with Circles. She does not, however, get any faster. She fires a lot of missiles at you, yet she lets you receive hits in between them. Attack in between waves, taking your time.
Tisiphone is much more obnoxious as a support. She has the ability to blanket the arena in areas of impact; attempt timing your dodge to move from a newly placed area to an already-exploding region. Her second talent will create a mist around her Point sister. Through the fog, try to observe what the sister is doing and avoid appropriately.
Hydra Takes Extreme Measures
The Furies are difficult to understand, but the Hydra is not. His chamber has been transformed into a lava pit, and you’ll have to combat him in a 360-degree battle. To dodge his harm, move in a circle around him. Lay into him on the beginning island if you’re confident in his damage, and timing your dodges appropriately.
He’ll then summon Support Hydras all across the island as he calls them. Continue to move in a circle to keep his ads at bay while dodging his missiles. Kill any rocks that are ticking down to zero before he creates a skeleton.
Use Megaera’s Keepsake if you’re using one. She will let you to do huge damage to all of his adds, possibly sparing your life.
Theseus and Asterius Take Extreme Measures
Theseus and Asterius have gotten themselves some golden armor. Awesome! If only you didn’t have to worry about it being used against you.
We recommend that you begin the battle by hitting them with Megaera’s Keepsake for 2500 each. Then begin with Asterius and work your way up to Theseus.
The colossal bull is enraged. He can now spin his axe in a circle; without a ranged strike, your only option is to flee for your life. If you have access to it, you should toss your cast behind you.
He’s also a lot quicker, as shown by his ability to do three leaping slams in a succession. Before attacking him, take your time and make sure you’re safe. His distant strikes, as well as his overall range, are extremely lethal.
When he starts charging, attempt to direct him such that he collides with one of the arena’s monuments or tributes.
Theseus is considerably simpler before he reaches Phase 2! He’s now a support fighter with the ability to hurl huge explosives across the arena. Thankfully, the bombs take a long time to land; make it a point to avoid the landing zones as soon as possible.
He may also charge across the middle of the arena, attempting to shoot you down. Try to dodge perpendicular to where he’s gazing as he lines up for a charge.
After you’ve tracked him down and blown up his vehicle, he’ll go into Phase 2, which is his regular phase. Move around inside his shield, doing steady damage.
Hades Takes Extreme Measures
The battle against Hades is probably the most variable of all the Extreme Measures Bosses. Check out our tutorial if you want to learn how to defeat Hades more regularly. There’s a lot to watch out for in each step right now!
Hades has two major choices. He’ll now take a stride towards Zagreus while spinning his spear over his head. To regularly avoid this, begin your dodge as soon as he begins spinning. He also has the ability to throw his spear, which he telegraphs by holding it behind his back. By going perpendicular to where Hades is staring, you may avoid this. He constantly rushes after the spear, so keep up your damage by following him.
After swiping his sword twice, he may choose between these two choices.
Cerberus is the major surprise of Phase 2! This dog uses several zones of impact to inflict 50 damage. To regularly avoid him, go to the bottom left of the arena and timing your dodges when Cerberus is close by.
Hades is also able to heal via his vases. It’ll be difficult to overcome his recovery, so concentrate on emptying the vases before returning to inflict damage on Dad.
Try to hide behind a pillar if he uses his Brimstone Attack, which typically consists of 360 degrees of lasers. If you go too near to Hades, he’ll kick you back!
That’s right, it’s time for Phase 3! Hades cloaks the battlefield in darkness during this phase, limiting your vision somewhat. Aside from that, he’s been utilizing his invisibility a lot more in this phase. Using the snow on the ground to display footsteps, keep track of Hades as he travels.
Otherwise, you’ll be able to respond to them as long as you start learning new attacks from the initial stages! He isn’t any faster than he was before. All that matters is that you remain near enough to see what he’s up to.
